Ixtapa |
Only a few miles from
the renowned, charming fishing village of Zihuatanejo, Ixtapa is in
a world of its own with miles of unspoiled beaches, warm surf, lush
tropical vegetation, and the blue Pacific as far as you can see. The
master-planned resort features fine hotels all facing the bay, with
a backdrop of the majestic Sierra Madre mountains. Here, you can lose
yourself in the relaxed setting on the white sand beaches or you can
venture out to explore your new and exciting surroundings.
If you want activity, Ixtapa has it all. You'll
find water-skiing, parasailing, snorkeling, scuba diving, sailing,
windsurfing, surfing, swimming, fishing, horseback riding, golf, and
tennis. Rent a moped or scooter and see the sights or take a boat
ride to nearby lsla Ixtapa, a small island national park, where you
can enjoy open-air restaurants and calm waters for swimming. In Ixtapa,
you have some choices to make. There are quaint shops displaying local
arts and crafts or modern shopping centers. Small eateries or gourmet
restaurants. High-tech discos and quiet beaches. And then, there are
the incredible sunsets. Whatever you choose to do, you will long remember
this lovely part of Mexico. Set against lush green mountains, this
tropical beauty offers all the modern comforts of luxury resorts,
and all the charm of a sleepy seaside village. Located only seven
kilometers apart, Ixtapa and Zihuatanejo combine to deliver the best
of both worlds. |

One of four beaches in Zihuatanejo |
Zihuatanejo is a classic Mexican pueblo... unpretentious and
serene. Stroll down the cobblestone streets, shop at intriguing native
markets and enjoy a meal or drinks at a seaside cafe. Lay back, pick
up the pace or do a little of both and enjoy two great vacations in
one. Beside the beach is the main Pier from were you can take a boat
to Playa Las Gatas beach or for a fun day of fishing and it is where
the passengers from luxury cruises arrive for a tour of our cities.
From here you will be able to admire the four beaches located within
the bay. |
